Within the context of these monotypes, the colors and textures of the earth are chosen to evoke wonderment of nature and discovery; they are attributed to the sensation of looking from the window of an airplane down to the Earth below. Hues vary widely depending upon the application of dyes, screenprinted textures, and monoprint tracings. At first glance each panel depicts chaotic compositions, but with closer observation, lines traced and transferred on top of each other become recognizable land masses converging across the pictorial plane. Contextual cues are provided but there are no words to discern locations, only visuals.
